Mario Kart GP DX Arcade Machine

The Mario Kart GP DX Arcade machine is Bandai Namco’s third and most refined arcade take on Mario Kart, built for home games rooms, venues, and businesses that want a real multiplayer racer — not a home console plugged into a TV. It’s officially known as Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, developed by Bandai Namco in partnership with Nintendo, and it plays like nothing else you can buy for a lounge room.

Unlike the console Mario Kart games, this is arcade-only hardware — you can’t get this version anywhere else.

What Is the Mario Kart GP DX Arcade Machine?

It’s a coin-op style racing cabinet running on Namco’s PC-based System ES3 hardware, with a steering wheel, pedal, and a 42-inch HD screen built into a rainbow LED-lit cabinet. Up to four cabinets link together for full eight-way, four-player racing — or it runs standalone for a single racer.

Key Features

• 42″ HD display in a rainbow LED-lit cabinet
• NAM-CAM with Funny Face Frames — snaps a photo of the player and overlays it onto their kart, with stretch and squeeze effects
• Linkable up to 4 cabinets for full multiplayer racing
• Three game modes — Grand Prix (40 rounds across five cups), Versus, and 2-player Co-Op with Fusion Karts
• 20+ kart types triggering over 90 item types, plus guest racers like Pac-Man on exclusive tracks
• Character roster including Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and more, with unlockable karts

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Mario Kart GP DX Arcade machine the same as the home console version?

No. Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is exclusive to arcade hardware, built by Bandai Namco with Nintendo. It has its own tracks, characters (including Pac-Man), and item set not found on any home Mario Kart release.

Can I play the Mario Kart GP DX Arcade machine on my own, or do I need multiple cabinets?

Either. A single cabinet runs Grand Prix and Versus modes solo or against computer racers. Linking up to four cabinets adds full multiplayer racing against other players.

How much space does it need?

Installed dimensions are roughly 239cm tall, 104cm wide, and 160cm deep per cabinet, weighing around 245kg. Measure doorways and floor space before ordering, especially if you’re linking multiple units.

Does it come with a warranty in Australia?

Yes. Every unit we sell includes local warranty support, so servicing doesn’t mean shipping parts from overseas.

Can I see it running before I buy?

Yes — book a viewing at our Darwin showroom, 29 Smith St, Darwin City NT 0800.
