Why Buy This World Cup Soccer Pinball Machine

A true 1994 classic. It was made for the first World Cup hosted in the United States.
Easy to learn. The goals are clear, so beginners and families can join in fast.
Fun toys on the playfield. A moving goalie and a giant spinning soccer ball make every shot exciting.
Not many soccer pinballs. This is one of the few pinball games built around the sport.
Plenty of games made. Bally built 8,743 machines, so it is a known and trusted title.

World Cup Soccer Pinball Overview

Bally released this game in February 1994, built by Williams/Midway under the Bally name. John Popadiuk and Larry DeMar designed it, and it was timed to match the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

The game works like a World Cup trip. You travel between host cities, build up your fans and shoot goals. To light the ball lock, you collect five soccer traits: Stamina, Speed, Spirit, Skill and Strength. Reach the last stop, Los Angeles, and you face Germany in the final in a wizard mode.

A press of the side button triggers the Magna-Save to stop a lost ball. A magnetic Magna-Lock holds balls for multiball.

Key Features of World Cup Soccer

Magna-Save: a magnet above the left flipper saves your ball when you press the extra side button.
Magna-Lock multiball: a magnet holds balls on the middle-left playfield for multiball.
Moving goalie target: slides side to side at the top left.
Giant spinning soccer ball: turns both ways and changes the path of the ball.
Two ramps and a roll-under spinner: keep the action quick.
Kickback: gives you a second chance on the outlane.
Dot-matrix display: shows animations and scores.
Wizard mode: play Germany in the World Cup final.
